Join us for a fun and relaxing day on a secluded tropical island. We offer pick-up from Cairns or Port Douglas. Perfect for up to 4 people, these private trips aboard our 6m vessel, Tropic Star, provide the ideal way to experience the true beauty of the tropics.

The North Tropical Coast is dotted with a stunning array of tropical islands, making this the perfect destination for those seeking peace, adventure, and natural beauty.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic picnic on a private beach or a fun day out with close friends without the crowds, our tropical island day trips are the perfect escape. For those who prefer a natural experience, this trip is also ideal for naturists, offering a serene and private environment to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Your Day:

• Cairns Pick-up: 6:30 am, returning by 4:00 pm
• Port Douglas Pick-up: 7:00 am
• Travel Time: Up to a 1-hour car trip, depending on the launch site
• Included: Lunch, snacks, drinks, water, and tea/coffee

Enjoy a day filled with swimming, snorkeling, exploring, sunbaking, and relaxing on pristine beaches. You’ll have access to all the equipment you need to enhance your experience, including a stand-up paddleboard, sun umbrella, and a picnic setup, including chairs and a beach mat.

For an extra adventure, the captain can offer a Catch and Cook experience. While you explore the island, the captain can head out to try and catch a fresh fish, which will be cooked right on the beach for your lunch—adding a delicious and authentic touch to your day.

Weather Flexibility:
We understand that weather conditions can change, so if it’s too windy to head out to an island for the day, we offer a flexible backup plan. Instead of the island trip, we’ll take you on a morning river cruise, exploring the mangrove-lined river systems and searching for saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat. Afterward, we’ll head to a pristine rainforest waterfall or swimming hole for a refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters, followed by a delightful picnic lunch in the serene surroundings.

When:

• Best Time for Weather: September to April is the ideal time to enjoy light winds and calm seas.
• Best Time for Crocodile Spotting: From April to September, the river is home to saltwater crocodiles, offering the perfect opportunity to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.
